MEMORY LANE
It was the year that McDonald’s introduced the McNugget, 1983. Neil Johnson and Jon Anderson had a vision to start their own envelope company. Armed with a small 11” x 17” press with a 2-up envelope feeder, a 5,000 square foot facility in Edina, MN and just 2 employees, they took on the envelope industry. Johnson Anderson primarily served printers, print brokers and direct mail firms. In 1996, Johnson Anderson moved to our current 60,000 square foot facility in Shakopee, MN to allow room for growth.
In 2000, after listening to their customers needs . Sheetfed printing of the 40" variety was introduced to offer customers a full-service commercial print shop. The addition of commercial print to envelope manufacturing is what set Johnson Anderson apart from the rest.
2 decades, 9 high speed jet presses, 3 sheetfed presses, 6 high speed envelope converting machines and 100 employees later, Johnson Anderson has served several thousand customers and built strong relationships with both customers and vendors throughout the nation. Excellence in customer service is what has kept us in business for so many years. It is our commitment to strive for excellence for many more years to come.
